Question '07 Harley Davidson leveling question?

I have a 2007 HD AWD and I'm having problems finding out what exactly I need to level the rear (as of now it has a raked look and it doesn't look right with rims) The problem is that nobody knows how to approach the AWD....all the shops around here keep saying its 4x4 and I'm like no its actually AWD...then they act like they don't know anything about it. I've found some shackle kits online that look promising but I don't know if the 4x4 version will work on my drive train? Any help is appreciated!

Will these work?

Thanks,
Rob

So you're wanting to lower the rear? I'd say the 2wd kit would probably be better, since the stance of a harley is more like a 2wd than a 4wd. Either way the rear end is still the same.

The stance of a AWD Harley is closer to that of a 4x4 at least in the rear ...

The above pic is my truck and as you can see I want to lower the back to be level with the front ride height.

Thanks,

Does your truck have a block between the axle and the leaf springs? All of the 4wd trucks have them, and when those guys want to lower the rear on theirs they just remove that factory block.

Yes it has a two inch block. Is it safe to allow the leaf springs to just sit on the axle like that? Thanks man this might save some $$$ I ordered the lowering shackles but if this works I will return them.

Yes, it will work. You'll just need to get some u-bolts from a 2wd.

Removing blocks will lower the rear end. I've got a limited and have been researching the same thing. Hard thing is getting the dealership to take the time to find the right ubolts for you. I'm waiting until I have the cash to buy a lowering kit since it includes the ubolts for removing the blocks. Love the Harley!
