Coilovers and 2" spacer

I have a set of pro comp coil overs that came with my stage 2 kit, have them cranked right now giving me a total of 8" of front lift to fit 37's. Problem is that they ride like crap now because of the preload. Going to unload them back to standard height and add a 2" auto spring spacer...Cranking them has preloaded that coil so much they now ride awful...

Anyone else tried this, the only thing that I am worried about is over extending my CV's, may have to add limiting straps...

If you back the preload down to the point you have 6 inches of lift and then add the leveling kit you will be fine. But keep in mind that the spring preload is only making the initial portion of the suspension's travel stiffer. The suspension is still gonna feel the same over larger bumps when it gets into the middle and end of it's stoke.

Actually the preload has killed the ride. I understand that adding the spacer and limiting the droop travel will negatively effect the ride somewhat, what I am worried about is the over extension and think the ride will slightly improve. I had a level kit before I did the suspension lift but the pro comp coil overs have a slightly longer plate to eye length than the factory shocks with the 6" extension added.

That being said if I add the spacer and lower the coil overs 1.5 - 2" I will still have a longer strut, little concerned about over extending and breaking a half shaft. Not because of the cost but more so the trail breakdowns....I guess I should buy an extra CV shaft and throw it in the tool box. Thanks for the response, would you do it or leave it cranked?
