Visions of a leveled F150...

Ordered Rancho Quick Lift Loaded Struts...Check
Picked Up Struts...Check
Install Struts...

After 3 hours of fighting the upper a arm/spindle no go!

I like how on the Rancho Video they just tap it with a mallet and it comes apart...I guess I am going to have to pay to have them installed!

That was 3 hours for one side!

Regards!

The bolt has a locking ring that keep the assembly in place. i bathed mine several times in wd-40 while i was bbq'ing, then hit it with a metal headed hammer and the top most part of the spindle, 3 hits later it popped out....given my truck had 30K miles when i added the level.

GOod luck!

I did it all 4. But that includes eating and installing the rear lift blocks. Having the necessary tools is the key to doing it fast now right

All installed! I love the look and the ride so far... I am at 128k miles and was way over due for struts, and the truck feels like new. I installed a new set of Rancho RX5000 in the rear about 2 weeks ago so I am good on all 4 corners

Only problem...they installed the drivers side with the adjustment **** facing inward...

I also had to have a new axle installed due to a leaking outer CV boot.

The BFG Rugged Terrains are a bit noisy compared to the Toyo Open Trail AT's I had previously.

I will try to post pics!

Thanks all!

Wish I would have done it at 12,800 miles instead of 128,000 miles!

Now if I can figure out why I'm now getting 9.8 mpg I will be in business!

Regards!

The fuel filter is about a year old.
Oil change yesterday...Motorcraft filter Chevron 5w20
MAF Cleaned about a month ago
K&N Filter cleaned about three months ago
Throttle Body Cleaned about a year ago, but on the list. Bought a can of cleaner yesterday. Didn't want to tear into it because I am leaving for vacation tomorrow...my luck, the throttle body would mess up, and screw up vacation.
New Coils about 45k on plugs...
Truck has only had Chevron Gas (probably 3 tanks of other)...I do typically do a bottle of Techron every oil change

The color is nice...but it's starting to peel...down in the roof channels, and in the fender jamb...and the inside of the tailgate...

How many miles on the fuel filter? Guys round here really stress that these fuel filters must be replaced every 15K. And otherwise I'm clueless as to why your getting such low mileage seems your fine in terms of maintenance. What yah plan on doing to restore the paint?
