leveling kit help please

I want to put a leveling kit on my truck, just a 2-3" front end lift...

I have a 1999 f250 Superduty XLT Extended cab 6.8l V10 with twin I beam suspension 2x4.

My problem is... i can NOT find ANYTHING that will work. i wanted to get the coil spacer that go on top with stud extender but everywhere i look it says wont fit XLT or extended cabs..... i looked around for extended coil springs.. cant find any. some1 said heavy duty coil springs.. cant find any that will raise truck any.

I have no idea what or how to raise the front. The truck is raking 4-5" so i BADLY need help cause its just raking horrible

Please help..?
Thanks

Suspension is no different between models besides the obvious (diesel vs. gas and 2x4 vs. 4x4) so an xlt and lariat gas have the same set up.

When was your truck built? check the driver door jam. Early 99 superduty's IIRC used a different suspension than the later 99-04 trucks.

http://www.autoanything.com/suspensi...0A50627A1.aspx Took me about 5 seconds brother, good luck, make sure you get an alignment after you install it obviously. XLT, XL, FX4 It doesn't matter, the basics are all the same, just make sure you get your years right when searching for compatible parts. You could put heavy duty springs in the front end but your ride is going to go to hell, those are meant to be used with a plow to compensate for the extra weight on the front end.

only thing there, the daystar is light duty... mine is superduty so im pretty sure thats heavy duty and the truxxx is heavy duty 4wd only... mine is 2wd :/
so i dont think either of those will work unfortunately

I'd assume light duty would be the f150 body style "f250".

It sounds like you have an early model (5/98 has to be an early build for 99 right? ), i'm not not familiar with what changed. I would go join a powerstroke forum and get some insight from some people who are more familiar with those trucks than us.

The Truxx kit should be a direct fit but I agree with 06, check on the powerstroke forum and see what other people are using. As for the daystar it says in the drop down, lightduty 2x4, heavyduty 4x4, makes sense because a 4x4 has a heavier front end. Just because its a superduty, doesn't mean you need the heavy duty. Good luck though, hopefully you find something that works, post some pics when you have it done!

Is there a brand of leveling kits that are far superior to others? Want to put one into my 2012 F150 just to get a bit more bumper clearance.

not really.

Autospring is popular because it's cheap ($70ish shipped)

Bilsteins will give you a nicer shock while getting you level, but at a higher cost.

It's all dependent upon your needs/wants out of it.

I don't think Autospring makes a leveling kit for the Super Duty 4x2's and Bilstiens (nor any shock) won't raise the ride height. If you truck has that bad of a rake, I'd replace the coilsprings as they are probably sagged out. I'd call/e-mail/contact all of the suspension companies and see if they make a set of lifted coilsprings. If they don't, get a new set of OEM coils and a Daystar leveling kit. I'm 99% sure Daystar makes a kit for your truck, but you may have to contact them directly. I think their website is www.daystarweb.com.

The original poster had a 1999 F250 he was asking about help with. I'm getting a new 2012 so it had better not come with any issues LOL!
