Torsion bar crank- what is a REASONABLE amount to crank em...
without stressing components and giving a rough ride?
I have a Fabtech 6" lift on my 2000, and put some AAL's on the back which raised it about 1.5-2". Torsion bars have never been touched. I now want to try and level the truck and get rid of the rear rake.
Will raising the front 2" be reasonable? I think that should be more than adequate to level things out. I will be getting the front aligned as soon as the torsion bars are adjusted.
BTW, the CV joints are about horizontal as she sits now, so I know I have a little room to get close to level, but how much room?
Thanks.

There is no "reasonalbe" amount to adjust them...crank them to suit your desires. Any noticeable difference in ride quaility will be negligible and there'll really be no additional stress on components when cranking up the stock keys. I have a combined 250,000+ miles on two trucks now with the bars cranked full to the stops with no negative results!!!
