Need bilstein info

Going to be ordering the bilstein 5100 4-6" front struts for my 2005 f150 to replace the spacers on my 6" rcx lift.

My main question is how easy of an installation are they? i noticed that when replacing the old struts with these i will be takeing the old ones out of what looks to be the coilovers and putting the bilsteins in those coils. Are there any complication i will run into when it comes to takeing that assembly apart?

Looking to get some feedback on installation and how they ride

like another member i will be adding the 1" daystar level on top. i am aware that that is the highest i can go with the 6" rcx because of the cv angles and the possibility on knuckles, or maybe arms rubbing because of only having a 5 1/4 inch cross member.

Don't try to take the coilovers apart yourself, unless you have a compressor and know what you're doing. As for the alignment, yes you should get one.

It's not too bad of an install. Took me 4 hours total for 6" bilstein struts and 2" level on my procomp lift. Yes, you will need another alignment. Be careful compressing coils, I used manual compressor and impact gun and it worked fine. And make sure you put it on the right setting on the new bilsteins, 6" setting and not 4! Made that mistake
