grinding noise after leveling

Hi I just installed 2.5" leveling spacers on my 07, 4 X 4 it went really well with no problems or so I thought. After the install I have a smaller but there grinding noise only when turning left, coming from the front left, It doesn't have to be a full left turn it does it when going around a left curve too. Going straight or right is perfectly quiet absolutely no vibration at highway speeds. My ABS light was coming on intermittantly and had it scanned saying it is the left front sensor, now it comes on more often and it even activates on my first braking of the morning but just then and it goes away. I bought the sensor today but won't have time till the wekend.

Any ideas?

Dave

I have an 07 HD and have a grinding problem too. Mine is the opposite though. It happens when I turn to the right. I havn't found a fix yet, just wanted to let you know your not alone.

Check the inside of your rims to see if the lip is scraping the LCA or tire rubbing the inner fender liner.

thanks for the help, no it doesn't sound as bad as yours Mine sounds more like a rubbing noise just can't see anything. I'm gonna tear it down till i find something Saturday.
Thanks for the suggestion on the inner rim i can see the inside rim and don't see any marks, I'll keep looking. Thanks again

Put masking tape everywhere that you can think of that it might be rubbing. Take it for a 20 second spin, and get out and look. The masking tape will be rubbed off and make it obvious.

Does it only do it while turning left and braking, or any left turn with or without braking?

I just remembered something. When I lowered mine the E-brake cable was pulling on the brakes and making a funny noise. I took the bind out of the E-brake cable and the weird noise went away. Never no till you check it... Good luck!

Well I found it, it was the front left wheel bearing. Almost overlooked it I removed brakes and rotor nothing, until I started and built vacume and spun the hub it really ground badly, checked the other side same way and it was still good..........replaced both sides with hub kits. They came with the ABS sensor that I bought earlier in the week for $113.00 got the hub kits for $202.00 each, I'll take back the sensor as I didn't use.

Thanks for those who helped!
