Can't remove rear shock upper bolt!!!
Wife said my truck was "bouncy" when she drove it last week. Drove it to work and noticed that it was indeed "bouncy". Got to work and and looked at the rear shocks only to notice that they had both broke off at the top!! Only my brake lines kept them from hitting the pavement and causing major damage to my truck and maybe myself. No more Bilsteins for me. Ordered and received my new Rancho shocks. Removed the lower portion of the shock no problem. Removed the upper nut, but CAN NOT for the life of me, remove the bolt. Have tried everything, lube, heat, vise grips, tapping the back of the bolt in the limited room you have between the bolt and the bed. It's like it's seized up in the shock, it will turn slightly if you really crank on it, but pulling it out is kicking my @$$. Any ideas, or is it time to get the grinder out?
