not sure if im in the right spot for this but anyway, ive been wantin to look into a 4 inch lift for my truck. i have 31 inch tires right now...what size would i need to move up to? anyone have any idea how much a shop would charge to install the lift?

 

Are you asking if you should go with a bigger lift or tire? If you go with the 4in lift I would put 33in tires on it 31in are going to be to small in my opinion. I don't have a Ford lifted but I do have a K5 Blazer that has a 6in lift w/2 in body on 35's I like that set up.

Its hard to say bc shop labor rates will differ but if I had to guess anywhere from 500 to 1000. Thats just a guess I never had one installed I did mine on my own. I would call around to a few shops to get the cheapest one.

 

wow, are they easy to do yourself?

 

if you have the right tools and the time they arent very difficult. the benefit the shop has is the lift. they can jack the truck up to eve level and work but doing it yourself you wont have as much room to work.

 

If you can do it yourself, I definitely would. I did my 6". I would think the cheapest a shop will do it is $500 most likely $700 or so
