And, yes bumpstops are a must. Without those you'll overcompress the suspension and end up damaging something up front. In the rear without them you can end up breaking a leaf. And I'd go with the 2.5 bumps, matching them to the size of the shock seems to be a general rule. Just don't cheap out and get those poly bumps.
ok ill see where i could get some 2.5's then, thanks for the heads up.. but ill email them right now and see prices on the rear suspension and cage. im not the best welder lol might have to just buy one.

what do you recommend for rear bump stops?

Fox, King, Sway-a-Way, and FOA all make good bumpstops. FOA's are good if your on a budget and they'll definitely perform as well as you need them too. As far as I know you can only order them from their site though. And there lengths run a little weird, but they make coilovers and normal shocks too so you could use them all around and save a lot instead of going with fox's or kings's. Unless of course your buying them used. But most kits when they say what shock length you'll need are rated according to the way king's or fox's run so if you decide to go with FOA's you'll have to compare the lengths to get the right one.

I'm sure there's other brands out there, those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Check polyperformance.com, they'll have a lot of stuff you'll need.

well the cheaper the better for me! ill try to see what length the dixon bro's kit has and see if foa has some that length. now that im looking at poly they have sway away 2.5's for $320 which seems cheap compared to the dixon bros 2.0 for 500.

I just checked, the dixon bros ones are a pair of two for 500. The ones on poly are only a a single piece. And now that I'm thinking about it since you really won't be beating on the truck you could probably get by with 2.0's up front.

It'll all come on a pallet and be freight shipped so it shouldn't be horrible, but customs may be a pain. Just to give you a heads up its a whole lot cheaper if you get it shipped to a shipping terminal and pick it up from there instead of shipping it to your house. Here at least in the states it's like 200 for them to bring it your house because they need a truck with a lift gate to unload it.

Addictive Desert Designs makes some great looking bumpers. Don't have any experience with them tho:

Be careful with those rear bumpers, fiberglass bedsides tend to taper up at the back so those ones they have that look like oem replacements will hang down lower than the fiberglass where they meet each other.

Dixon comes with fox's iirc correct. Pretty much same shock as king, just not as "flashy" I guess you could say. And for what you want, honestly I'd just go with whatevers cheaper unless your really planning on building a purpose built pre-runner.

ok so they are pretty much the same kit i think otherwise. the jd fab kit replaces the upper ball joint with a heim but the dixon bros still has ball joints

I just looked up the jd fab kit, for the price it only comes out to a couple hundred more than the dixon bros with the shocks. So I'd go with it if you have a little more to spend since it has the heims instead of ball joints (imagine never having to worry about replacing a ball joint again!). Also because it upgrades you to the porsche 930 cv axles which allow a little more travel especially if your using 4x4 at the same time.
