Leveling Kit

Hey guys I just recently bought a '05 FX4. I'm loving it so far. im looking to raise it up a bit, but i dont want to do anything too agressive interms of lifting it, so i figured a level lift would be perfect for me, i was leaning toward 3in. Just seeing what people suggest/recommend. If im gonna do it i want to do it right but im not too familiar with the leveling kits so and advice helps. Thanks!

I have a 05 in my gallery. i put a 2.5" levell and 35 cooper stt's
its the black one. dont go over 2.5.
I did it on the silverish truck in my gallery and had no problems. but then i had to add a rear add a leaf to bring the rear back up.

No the AS ones are the same , i think it may only be different in the modle years. Mine is a lariat and its the same as fx4 with more bells. Got mine on ebay for $75 free shipping.

leveling kits are basically all the same. some are made of different material, but they all achieve the same result. Most on this site say do autospring. ive done two of the autospring and they are the way to go. Cheap and are the same as the readylift that i bought the first time around. STUPID....i didnt do any research and ended up with a 250 dollar leveling kit when i can get it for 90ish shipped for the same thing.

Just my .02, I went with the AS 2.5" level. It is perfect, levels the truck exactly like I wanted. Unfortunately, whenever I go over speed bumps or hit a pot hole, I can hear metal-on-metal. Not sure if it is the shocks bottoming out or the UCA hitting the springs. On my last truck (2006 Tundra), I had Toytec coilovers that worked out great without any concern to me. I'm thinking that I will be re-evaluating my front suspension soon. I don't do any heavy duty offroading...just a little mud hunting and what not, but I don't like the metal-on-metal contact I'm hearing.
