Alignment techs joyride goes bad

I just wanted to share my experience at Farm and Fleet service center. After bringing my truck in for the second set of cam bolts due to their tech not tightening them down enough and the threads stripping. Anyway the manager tells me they are only gonna charge me for the new bolts no labor. However they won't have them till tomorrow . Then I notice the very young tech pull my truck out and start driving away. I ask why he's doing this and was told.hes pulling it around. He did not. It was misting out and I told the manager if he's not careful he's gonna end up in a ditch. My 07 screw has a Whipple amongst other things making about 450 hp at the rear wheels. I knew what he was up to JOYRIDE. He knew it was blown after asking about my boost gauge. Well ten minutes later he comes back mud down both sides of the truck. Everything in the truck is tossed all over ,my kids booster seats both on the floorboard. He was white as a ghost and tried to give me some story about a farmers truck throwing mud on mine. On both sides? I don't think so. Needless to say I got the manager . He knew there was no sense in lying and apologized up and down. Then I noticed after working on my truck he just hopped in all greasy. All over my doors steering wheel anything he touched. Not to mention he was hot rodding in overdrive. I immediately drove down the road and there it was rite where he thought he would whip a u turn and get on it. The truck gave him a little more than he bargained for sideways through the ditch. Anyway the real kicker is the Cam bolts are loose again not a week later.i guess I should have went to the dealer. I won't be returning!

You should have offered to take that punk on another ride so he could drive your truck, take him out to the woods and lay down a good beating.

I would have made the shop/tech pay for a profesional detail, buff/clay/wax, everything. then find his ride and throw a brick through the window. Thats just not right, thats why i always make note of my odometer when i bring my truck in, i may be overprotective but i put my heart and soul into my truck and if anyone is going to beat on it, its gunna be me lol

And he was dumb enough to do it with you there, hes lucky it wasnt me

The only thing I can't do on my truck is a wheel alignment. last year i replaced inner and outer tie rod ends on the passenger side and took it for an alignment first thing in the morning. Buddy came and picked me up and we went for breakfast right across the street. Finishing up breakfast I see him pull my truck out of the lot and I hear VRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM as buddy goes screaming down the side street through first gear and most of second. I stormed over there marched right up to the girl up front and demanded an explanation. Her response "he was taking it on a test drive." I as gently as I could explained to her how a test drive is not needed if all the work being performed is a "F'ING WHEEL ALIGNMENT."

Mean while buddy drives my truck in the shop, throws a few more revs at it (if all he did was rev it up a bit to hear it I wouldn't of cared I would have smiled and asked what he thought of my exhaust note), he gets out of my truck with this huge grin on his face eye balling it up and down. I start UNLOADING on this "tech," and supposedly the vein in my neck was bulging more than it has ever been, ever. My buddy has seen me pissed off before believe me. I don't think that tech got more than 2 words in with the verbal blasting I was giving him. He had terror in his eyes, I stand about 6'4, very physically fit, really deep voice, and very loud when i'm pissed off. People say I can be VERY Intimidating. Before I got physical with this little D bag. I ripped my key out of his hand, shoved him out of my way. Jumped in my truck. Started it and screamed at this guy "YOU HAVE 7 SECONDS TO OPEN THAT DOOR." I started counting and luckily that guy had the door open before I reached 7.

If I saw my truck like you described I probably would have hit him, not even gonna lie to you

Yeah, I'ld have been pissed too, I'm with you there ... ... but that can see you facing an assault and battery charge down here. That was "physical".

Just sayin'

If I was going back there to get an assault and battery charge I would have made it worth it.

Well, I guess civilization changed that. I've been on calls where that was essentially all there was, a laying on of hands and a shove ... and the victim goes to the magistrate and a warrant is issued ordering the holder to "bring the body where ever it may be found, before the court" .... and that we did.
