Need some help

Hey Everyone,

I have an 2005 F150 FX4 with an 2in front leveling kit. Im wanting to go with 35's. I know im going to have to lift but not sure if I'll be able to fit 35's with a 4.5in lift or do I have to go 6in? Also, whats a good tire, mainly for highway and snow use, Live in Michigan, Im currently in Afghanistan and dont really know whats the latest and greatest. What brands of Lift kits are good? Sorry I seem like a newb, just been gone a long time. Dont have any current pictures to post but its Dark Shadow gray with pain to match bumpers and a push bar up front. I'll also be getting new rims when I get home, either 18's or 20's.

Thanks Josh

Josh,
I'm looking to do something similiar to my truck right now. From the description of your truck, mine is the same. I'm getting the Bilstein 5100's (2" level) and BFGs All Terrain T/A 33" on my factory 18" wheels. I've had those the BFGs on my Jeep and like the way they perform on/off road. When I was doing my reseach about the leveling kit/lifts, this thread helped a lot.

Good luck, stay safe over there, and thanks for the service!

you can fit 35"s on your truck with the level. But if you are going to lift it, go with a 6" kit.

I looked into a 6" lift. The RIZE Industries lift kit, and the Pro Comp 6" kit. My family owns an Auto Parts store and I can get the Superlift 4.5" for a good deal. Compared to the Rize for around $3000. Im looking to spend about $3500 total for the lift, rims, and tires. I was looking into **** Cepek FCII's and was wondering how they hold up? Then for rims I was thinking either a Rockstar XD Series or a Moto Metal brand. and sure which ones yet though.

if you want a lift, then lift it

if you can't afford the regear then don't waste your time because broken transmissions are expensive

Trust me, go with the 6" lift. If you go with the 4.5" lift, you will regret not getting the 6". You will always want to go bigger.
