Quick Christmas Question

Hey everyone. Real quick Christmas question here. Looking at getting new shocks for my brothers truck. Its a 2008 Standard Cab XL 2wd. Currently with stock shocks. Upgrades we did to it are:

22" wheels with appropriate tires (believe they were 305/40/22)
We leveled the truck by adding the Belltech lowering shackles in the rear

So in other words, its not "lowered" and we don't want to lower it any further. I was looking at taking advantage of the sale on the Belltech Street Performance shocks. But are these overkill for his application? He hates how jarring the ride is now with the big wheels. And if we did go with these shocks, would you remove the rear shackles and just use the lowering setting on the shock? Thanks and if I could get some quick feedback, that would be great!

Those or Bilstiens would be good choices.
