8in questions

new to the site.. im wanting an 8in lift and 37s but not sure which kit to get.. rize or bds?
also my 99 f150 the stock front drive shaft work with the 10in lift no problem. but rize and bds both say it may need to be longer? so will i need a new front drive shaft or will the stock work?

You'll either need a new one, or you'll need a spacer for it, most likely front and rear. Rize is a true 8" while the Bds is iirc a 6" with cranked coil overs.

Neither one of those companies make a lift for your truck. Noone for that matter makes an 8" lift for a 97-03 truck. To get 8 inches you will need either a 5" rough country or 6" fabtech combined with a body lift.

oh sorry the 99 was my old truck i had put a 10in whiplash suspension and 40s on it. the stock drive shafts work fine on it, so i didnt understand why my 07 f150 screw would need a spacer/new one. has everyone with the rize kit needed a spacer/ new?

You had 10" and no binding in the front driveshaft? You must have gotten really lucky.

Oh, sorry for misreading that. As far as I know, the 8" should be fine. Worse come to worse you would need a spacer. All trucks are different, some need them and some don't.

I have the 8" BDS and had to use a spacer, probably didn't have to but to me looked like the shaft was out to far and it put it back to where it was so I'm stickin with it

I went with a 12inch Rize and also had a 2inch leveling kit and drove several hundred miles with the stock driveshaft. Then i put a 2inch spacer on th edrive shaft to be able to drive it to houston from ft hood. Did perfectly fine for me but i just got a new one for 400 custom made. Only thing i can say is put that bad boy under there and see how far out it comes and the angles. Who knows you may luck out like your last truck
