Lift or drop, need opinions please

Hello everyone im new to the forum. I just got a 2006 Lariat supercrew, its black with chrome bumpers. Its 2wd so it can go either way. I love both and really have a hard time choosing which to go with. Tell me what you think between the two. And not my pictures just random trucks

How much lift or how much lowered? I'm all for lifting, not a fan of lowered trucks. What are your needs for the truck? I got sick of having to deal with a lifted truck when using the bed.

and if you do lift, please go with a wheel that not everyone has. It seems that 90% of truck these days just look like the cookie cutters from an easy bake oven

What would you use the truck for? That should determine what is done. Lowered has better fuel economy and performance. I'm with Patman...90% of people lift 'em.. Think outside the bun...lol

I was just using these trucks as an example of how high I would lift it or how low I would drop it. Im going to be hauling an atv around every once in awhile but thats it. I love the look of the lifted and being from texas everyone has big trucks. I like the look of it lowered and my original plan was to go with an all black painted to match fx2 with 24 inch kmc slides. But i got one with chrome bumpers so Im getting aluminum rims now. Im just not sure if i should lift it or lower it.

Also what's your budget look like for this? Lifting a truck can bring a lot more expenses than you'd think, for one example tires. The bigger you go, the more they grow in cost, and they don't last as long as normal street tires generally either.

Truthfully, I dont think anyone could tell you what to do. Its all a matter of personal preference. I'm wondering which would be easiest to reverse. You may lower it and decide you want it lifted and vice-versa...

Can you get away with a lowered truck? what about lifted? I know i couldn't go lower without having troubles.

think about where you drive. i.e., dirt roads, parking garages, height of garage

Both are cool. I just can't stand to leave anything stock.

i lowered mine 2" in the front and 4" in the rear have no problem hauling my atv around let along using it to haul dirt or something heavy. Plus it handles like a dream unlike lifted trucks and it is your personal preference. if my truck was a 4x4 i would deff lift it i like the best of both worlds.

I lifted my truck 6" and it handles just like it did stock. It doesn't wobble or feel unstable or anything like that

Lowered for better handling, lifted for more off road capability.
