Rancho 4" (anyone heard of this?)

so i was searching to see pictures of 04-08 F150 with rancho 4" lift on it and came upon a forum. It said that this lift kit can not be used on the supercab 6.5 foot bed. so i called up rancho and they said that it will work fine, but im still a little worried that im going to get this thing and for some reason its not going to fit or something. so i was just looking to see if anyone had ever heard of this before.

here is the thread that it said this on.

thanks again guys!

Reading through that thread it looks like it won't work with the trucks that have two piece drive shafts. But on the next page it say's pro-comp makes a two piece drive shaft lowering kit which you can order separate to correct the problem. So if your truck has the two piece it looks like you need an extra part otherwise you should be good to go, but that's just basing it off of what that forum states. Hopefully someone who has it on here will be able to chime in.

well i just called them again, lol. i talked to some one different and they said the same thing, it will work with a 6.5' bed. they said the only exceptions are AW drive and trucks with a gross weight of over 8000 lbs. so i am a little more convinced but would still like to hear it from some of you guys also!

thanks

your supercab will be fine with that lift kit.

the issue is only with supercrew with the 6.5 foot bed due to chassis length it requires a different drive shaft than your truck.

35s. Anything smaller and you might as well leave it leveled. if you aren't going to run stock wheels, i'd go ahead and do a 6" lift. same price and you can go larger if you want later on.

I am going with the 4" rancho lift with 35s, i was maybe thinking 33s but like you said if i go any smaller an 35s i might as well just level it which i dont really want to do. Also 6" might be a little hard to get into since im not very tall. lol

Thanks!

33s or 35s on a 4" lift is more of a personal preference. Both will fit fine, and both will look good. Some people think the 33s are the perfect size and others like the look of 35s, it just depends on what you like. When people lift their trucks, a lot of the times they want to go bigger in tire size. So if you think you might want to go with 35s, it might save you some money to go straight to them rather than trying the 33s.
