Thanks!
Good choice. My sig pic shows my Rancho with a 1" Daystar which puts me at just about 6" of total lift, but I was happy with just the Rancho by itself and 35's. The pic is a little misleading since my truck is sitting on the crown in the road but my album has more pics.

The Rancho 4" is a badd *** kit... I've seen several guys running it. It's a bit expensive but well worth it IMO....

I ain't seen none of them that drop steps down when you open a door.

I do know a guy who carries a step ladder for his wife and he opens his door, get's it out of the back floor, carries it around, opens her door, holds the s-ladder steady, helps her in or out as the case may be, then he shuts the door and puts his s-ladder back and they either go into the house / store / etc or drive away after he get's in ... as the case may be. It was a bargain he made with her before getting a lifted truck.

Lots of times when the wife of mine goes into a store and I'm in the parking lot waiting, I'll see a lifted 4X4 and often park so I can watch it .... fun to wtch some people get in and out.

You cant go wrong with the Rancho 4" Lift, and it looks great with 35" tires. Just look at all the other trucks that have it...I personally couldn't be happier!

SWIMTEXAN i really like the look of the steps on the side, what kind are those? is it lower than the stock step that came on the truck? and also what type of tires are on that monster!!

So far all the trucks i have seen pics of on here with the 4" and 35s look awsome!!

Thanks Guys!! You all have been a huge help!

Ok now that i know exactly what i am going to do (rancho 4", 35x12.5 tires) i have another question for you guys. do i need to get different gears in my truck to make up for the bigger tires, and also for the bigger tires am i going to need a custom tune for them to recal my speedometer?

thanks!

I think it depends on your needs. I lived with 35's and my stock 3.73s for a couple of years and even towed my boat with this setup. It was fine, but not perfect of course. Just recently I upgraded to 4.56s and although the truck now drives incredibly, the cost of the install was $1600.00. If you tow a LOT and you have the cash, by all means go with 4.56's...you will NOT be disappointed.

I would try to get a tune and re-calibrate the speedometer! I did the tune, and noticed a difference, however I have yet to re-calibrate the speedo...its about 5mph off at highway speeds

what tuner are you running? most have the ability to correct the speedo.

You might change your mind, after going up a few grades and having your tranny drop in and out of OD all the time.
