Exclamation Need help about my lift, trying to fit 43's

Guys, I am in the proccess of fixing up my 1978 f150 4x4. Right now it has a 6inch skyjacker suspension lift and I am running 36x12.5x15 tsl's with no problem. I just bought a set of 43x14.5x20 tsl sx's though, will adding a 3inch body lift give me the clearence i need or do i have to go bigger? Ya'll let me know what i need to do. Thanks, and if ya'll have trucks with 42's or 44's let me know what lift ya'll are runnin too. Much appreciated!!!

a 3" body lift is not going to allow you to run a tire 7" more in size so get out the sawzall and start cutting.

what axles are you running?

Your gonna need at the very least 10-12" to clear them with some rubbing.

I agree!! If you are running dana 60's they will give you more of an offset allowing you to run bigger tires! I have a 79 bronco, from what I have read and seen with everyone running 44's you have to at least 10 in of lift and probably have to cut the fenders out. but let me know what you come up with! Im building my bronco right now. I have a 4inch with 33's but I could run 36's and i would if I wasnt redoing everything and going bigger!!

You don't need custom, the make bigger lifts but you will have to ditch the 6" if you want 43s unless you don't mind cuttin into the body.

Pics or its fake haha. I think with the lift and a good saw blade they will fit...but since its a show truck may as well just go all out and do a big suspension lift and no body lift... i prob missed reading about a re gear but that would be good idea and bigger axles n such...

if it's show truck, do all suspension since you have to replace the leafs any ways. BL's just cheapen the look of a truck

some where in the 3.55-4.10 range i'd imagine. my friends 78 f250 d44 axle had 4.10's up front

your gonna want 4.88s or if available 5.13/5.29s
