Rcx vs rcd

I know i know, type in the search bar, well i did and i still can't find what i'm looking for, so i'm making my own thread.

I have a 99 F150 ext cab short box 4x4 and i have been wanting to lift it for a while and i still cant deside what lift i want to use. i have narrowed it down to 2 kits, RCD 5 inch and the RCX 4-5 inch. i mostly just do logging trails/mild to medium wheelin. i obviously want to best bang for my buck, but i rather spend a little more if it meant a far better lift. so please help me out here, what are the pros and cons of both lifts and what do u guys suggest.I also want to be able to run my 03 fx4 rims

The RCD lift may be the best lift available for the 97-03 trucks. It's a top of the line kit and includes Bilstien shocks. I'm not very familar with the RCX lift.

^^ I agree. ive had my RCD lift almost 4 years and it works just fine. the ride with the bilsteins is still good. it comes with an add-a-leaf spring for the rear so it stiffens up the rear a little, but nothing i worry about.

no, the front skid plate you can get off a factory truck.

i do think the front diff housing is exposed a little, but i cant remember how it looked stock.

I have the RCX on my Supercrew --- Nothing but good things to say. It has been on for around 3 years and not one problem. For the money, can't beat it.

I have had the RCD on for almost a year and the truck rides great. Having the Bilstein 5100 shocks included is what attracted me to it in the first place. I ran 02/03 FX4 wheels for a bit while i was deciding on a new tire/wheel combo.
