Replacing shocks...alignment ?

2005 FX4

Just got new tires and alignment..I'm going to do the shocks all the way around...Do I really need to get another alignment after? Also is there any how to's on changing the front ? I'm sure it won't be an issue..I installed spacers a while ago

You are going to need a spring compressor or take the whole assembly to the dealer/shop to compress and change the front shock. Coilover setup so its not on the easy side.

As far as an alignment, I would say it shouldnt be necesary as nothing should change as far as the front end geometry if you stick with qa stock style shock.

If your going to change them out, ditch the spacers and go with a bilstein or rancho leveling shock. You will need an alignment but the performance is worth it in my opinion.

If you are doing a straight across stock type shock replacement (no leveling or any other funny stuff) an alignment will not be required at all. Even if you install leveling shocks, an alignment is a good idea, but when you can get to it. You're truck's not going to fall apart or eat up a set of tires in 1,000 miles. You'll be fine.

Like said, if you aren't changing height, if using a factory OR replacement front shock that maintains stock height ....
.... NO NEED for allignment because of new shocks.
