Don't tighten everything down completely until the truck is sitting on its own weight otherwise it'll cause binding. And start soaking those bolts in pb blaster at least a couple hours before to help with getting them off.

also don't tighten the shackle bolts until you can't any more. shackles pivots and tightening as far as you can will not allow them to pivot as they should.

^this. its pretty straight forward I just jacked up the truck supported the axle and undid the old one put in the new one. Was done both in maybe 25 mins, most of the time was spend undoing bolts because I didnt have any pb blaster or anything, and I also did my shocks at the same time.

I got the Rough Country 8000's on back I hope they arnt strained much with the lift.I was debating whether to get the shackles or an add-a-leaf, my rear end is really bouncy now with the new shocks and i wouldnt mind firming it up.

I just recently order a set from DJM to gain an extra inch or so in rear height. They should be here next week.

A add a leaf would be your best bet if you wanna firm up the ride. But a bouncy ride can come from bad shocks too, but you said they're new so that's probably not it.

Yeah I was getting a banging noise from my back shock area and I assumed my shocks were done (103,000km). Ordered the shocks and went to install them and saw the nut for one of my u-bolts was loose a little . Probably needed new shocks anyways though. The ride is fine ..... until you stop.... or start again.... or hit a large bump... or turn agressivly lol. I dont find it too bad but my wife does. For smaller pot holes though its really nice.
