2001 F150 Supercrew...need 3 inch rear block!

Hey guys, kinda new to the whole f150 online deal, I'm sure there's posts like this one, but all i can find is 7 year old ones with links that don't work.

I'm bout to dive in on my suspension. I've put in a westin grill guard, kc lights, carr hoop IIs, a stereo, sub, flowmaster 44 dualed out, bug guard, and im bout done!

I'm gonna need new tires soon, as to what ones that's a different story.

I want to buy the Doetsch 3.5 spindles and a 3 inch rear block to keep it level and I believe that's all id need. But im havin trouble finding the 3 inch blocks!!!

If anyone can shed some light on this it'd be awesome, cheap as possible obviously.

Do you want it level? Or do you want it to sit the way it does now only higher where the rear is already higher? A 3" block with only a 3.5" spindle won't sit you level. First off to save you money, get your self a set of the springtech or canuck motorsports spindles. They're cheaper and chances are they'll come in a box labeled doestch, yea they're all the same company.

Back to the block, generally speaking if when you raise the front the rear will need to be raised 1.5-2" less. So I'd either go with a 1.5" or 2" block, not a 3".

But here are some links:
2"
http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...t_pn=FABFTSBK2
3"
http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...8&t_pn=SUP1938

Those were first results off google search, with the 2" you would also need to get a set of longer u-bolts since they're not included, but you can order them from that site too. And yes there is a post like your's about twice a week.

EDIT:
http://shop.suspensionmax.com/Shop/C...8913/SFV/32526
Same price as doestch, and comes with the blocks too.

appreciate the help man, and sorry i forgot to mention the fact that Im also gonna put in at 1.5 daystar spacer. so a 3 inch block would be the way to go.

Also, that 3 inch kit you showed me doesn't say whether or not it will fit my truck? sorry if im coming off as an idiot, but the last thing i want is it not to fit right lol.

As for what spindles to get, the canuck motorsport ones will save me about 20 bucks, but i haven't heard one bad thing about doetsch, are you sure they're the same? I know the fabtech ones have even broken and stuff...

My springtech control arms that came with my springtech 6.5 lift had a doestch sticker on them and the spindle box and a springtech label over the doestch one ha. And yea I plugged in a 2001 2wd f150 to make sure it went on their website where it says you can select a vehicle.

dang man. i cant decide whether or not to get the spindles from canuck, the 3 inch block from the site you gave me, and the spacer from amazon. or just to buy the kit you can get from canuck that comes with all that. roughly the same price but id feel better splitting it up haha. unless you think that kit from canuck is just aces?

The one i'm looking at is the 5.5 front, 3 inch back block and comes with the coil spring spacer, the blocks, and the spindles for 540.

I'd just go the complete 5.5 kit, either way you'll be looking at roughly the same price and but this way you just get it all at once.

Nah you'll be good, you'll be able to tell but it's not gonna look way off and it's no problem I'm happy to help ha. Oh and when you get the spindles and blocks I recommend putting a nice coat of primer and some black paint on them, just make sure to tape off the important stuff on the spindle.

Two notes: readylift has a 3" block with what they say are oem-style bumpstops. I have the kit but have yet to install. Secondly, 4wheelparts sucks the big one imho.

I can't thing of what it's called on the spindle, but when you look at it you'll be able to tell what I'm talking about ha. Because if not give it about a year and all of it will be covered and surface rust and just look awful since they don't come coated and it's a lot harder to paint them while they're on the truck (found that out the hard way).

Not exacty, you need shocks for 1.5" of lift, spindles don't change shock length because they don't effect the geometry.
