adjustable suspension?

I have a 2006 f-150 4x4 super crew lariat. It had been lowered prior to me buying it and I really like the lowered look. I dont know how he lowered the front but there is virtually no play in the springs so it bottoms out all the time. I know I already need to do some work on suspension but i am struggling with what to put on it. I like the lowered look but there are times when a guy needs a bit more ground clearance like when launching a boat etc. Being a 4x4, it limits some options, but I would like to know if anyone knows of a suspension kit that would give me some adjustability with ease. I looked into Belltech adjustable shocks but I would prefer not to have to take it apart everytime i need clearance. Airbags would be the answer but I dont know if thats possible with 4x4.

Please advise.

About your only option for what you are describing would be a full airbag suspension system. But that would be a lot of $$$$$.

I didnt know a full airbag system was an option for a 4x4 truck. Is there any kits out there that you know of?

Thanks for the response

With custom fab work it could be done. The rear is simple and cheap. The front is less simple, but if you can fab yourself wouldn't be too much $$. I could see a full airbag setup being done for ~$500 if you can do all the design, welding and cutting yourself. Airbags can be had on craigslist for about $75/pair, decent compressor will be ~$150, tank and misc. hoses and fittings another $100, then some 3/16" or 1/4" steel, abrasives etc. for another $100. If you can't do the design and work yourself you could easily triple that number.

Just so i get this straight......the airbags eliminate the need for springs right? And if so, how is the ride quality when the airbags are deflated for the lower stance?
