Going up!
Going up!
hello all, as you can see im new on this forum. I just got my first truck which is a 2000 f150, 2WD single cab short bed. this truck is pretty much a ranger with swag. I'm looking to raise it a bit but not wanting to go overboard. I'm looking to get around 7inchs total and this is how i believe i should go about doing it
3inch body lift (blocks) <--- $320
1 inch torsion crank <--- $0
higher profile tires after that <---- depends
if ya'll have any suggestions on how to go about doing this or any other tricks or tips on how to get a little more height please let me kno!

2wd = no torsion bars
but you have a few other options
3.5" lift spindles with 3" BL = 6.5"
lift spindles and 2" lift coils = 5.5"
lift spindles and coil spacers
basic 6" lift
lift spindles, 3" lift coils and aftermarket upper A arm = 6.5"
Fabtech 7.5" crossmember lift
it just depends how much you want to spend

I dont think that 2wd has torsion bars. and are you planning on installing the body lift yourself? if not the labor is very expensive. Withouth the 1" torsion crank I see 3 inches. where did you want to get the other 4?
Just throwin it out there but I also have a 2wd and I got a 6" skyjacker lift for 1100.

I think he is including the increased tire size in his total lift, but I don't think he realizes that for every inch larger in tire diameter he will only get 1/2 inch taller truck. Not to mention that a 3" BL would not allow for 8" larger tires, not even close.
exactly what I was thinking...
If you on a budget and not doing the install yourself definitely skip the body lift. Just go with the springtech 6.5 lift and if that still isn't high enough start saving for a body lift to go on then.
springtech 6.5 = $800
3inch body lift =$300
thats almost 10 inches up which should be great! should allow for 34's
