Yeah but i would also put smaller tires on the truck and look at switching axles over to 2.5 tons and then taking all that chrome off with PTM or something. Only problem with my truck is after i get my bigger tires, king shocks, road armor bumpers with 10k winch, on board air system, and all the other stuff it would take me quite a bit to get it all. Just seems to me by time i get it all done and how i want the truck its going to be out of style. But i mean if the deal doesnt go through then this is what ill continue to do to my truck and then eventually buy another one.

My truck for his straight up

The heads themselves aren't that much, but I know guys who've had that much in total damage.[/QUOTE]

I would probably do the EGR delete myself and leave the heads to a pro

I've heard a lot of stories about then but people tend to not take care of vehicles and wonder why. Plus there's stuff out there to fix the problems If they occur rather than just replacing it with OEM crap.

But idk if the deal is gonna go through. He said he's gonna email pics sometime this week but nothing yet. If I don't trade then I'm just finishing my truck

The heads are not that big of a problem, I studded my block and never had another issue with them lifting off. The turbos on the 6.0 are the problem I had. Replaced many...Very expensive....

i never had a problem with my turbos and haven't heard of anyone really other than the veins sticking.

lifted my heads w/in a month of tuning, luckily got it done under warranty +300 bucks + studs

i do not know if the tune was the issue, or the fact ford kept saying my egr wasn't bad when it clearly was. had to go to a private powerstroke shop to have it deleted after ford refused. solved all my issues i was having.

I have 8, 6.0L in my fleet and I have changed turbo's on most of them at least once. They tow pretty much all of the time but I have had the issue quite often not to mention my personnal one. I also had some injector issues but Ford blamed the aftermarket oil filters. I like the trucks but have had issues with all of them. Extended warranties are beginning to run out so thinking about getting something different this time....

Yeah I hear that Ford has gotten all of the bugs out of their motor with the 6.7L. Thinking about it....I like the 6.0's but have had what I think is a little more than just normal problems...
