I'm going to flip the shocks around today. Good thing it isn't much work to do so.

The shock are on right unless it says to mount with the body up they are on right when they come from the factory there is a cover over the shock so you never see the shaft of the shock all the cover is for is for is to protect it from rocks and dirt blowing to seal out.

Don't do it till you find out the way they should be if you flip them they may be wrong and the valving will change so find out which way they go should say on the shock body or the box don't just flip them because someone told you too.

ktmracer...can I buy a period or two with your next post, LOL. JK.

For his Bilstein shocks, body up is correct. I would hope a boot on a shock isn't too confusing?!!

It doesn't matter. For the front, there is only one way to mount the shocks, body down. The rears can b e mounted either way. Stock i8s body down. The Bilsteins can be mounted body down or up. I use body down to match front and rear. If it had a reservoir it would have to be body up, but since it doesn't, they can be mount either way.

ok guys, i just flipped them over. it only took like 20 minutes. no big deal. they look much better with the body up.

I was having squeaking from the truck so i had someone else drive it past me and i figured out it was the shock bushings. What should i use to lube up the bushings? i dont want to have to take the shocks back off to lube them.

They have a poly bushing in them with a steel sleeve you need to find the grease they us with poly bushing kits it works the best.Do not us wd40 or anything like that it has oils in it it can eat the rubber away in time you will need to take the back off.
