Talking

Hey 2dollarsteak

your truck is looking good. But i do have one question

how did you get your nerf step rails lifted with your body
lift . The reason i am asking is I have a 97 F-150 4x4 ORP
with a 4" suspension lift and now a PA 3" body lift. when i
did the body lift i noticed that the rear of my nerf bars were
mounted to the body and the front to the frame and was just
wondering if you had to make some makeshift lift brackets for your nerf bars as well and how you did it?

But again you have one heck of a nice truck it is alot like mine but mine is all red. hope you can help me and if not thanks anyway.

Thanks Bigern6697!

Actually those nerf bars came with the truck. They where included in the XLT package and mount on the body.

A friend of mine put the lift on, but he said he didn't have any problems with the nerf bars.

Suanto,
How do you like those tires by now? How many miles you got on em? And how is the tread wearing? I am considering the new Goodyear MT/R, But I like those too. Just wandering how they are wearing. Be going on my '01 Superduty. Runnin 295/75/16 BFG KOs now, need to get rid of em, need some meat

Here's a pic of mine!

Attitude,
I love the tires. They look and ride great and balanced out real well. Seem to be wearing fine, there is a little wear, since they use a softer rubber, I won't be getting as many miles out of them as BFG and so far I have about 10k on them. I would absolutly get them agian but I dont think I will do mail order on tires agian. I had a problem with one of them and it has been a major pain in the *** trying to get it warrantied. I'll probably just end up eating the cost of a new tire.

Stevensblack4x4,
I have a Trailmaster Suspension, and PA Body . Had both of them on for over 2 years without a single problem!

truck looks good stevens!!! I been wanting to see the MT/Rs on something. I have only seen one set on in my shop. They were stock 265/75/16s on a stock superduty. I want the 305s I think. Till I get my lift, but that'll be a year or so probably.

Thanks Squanto. I do like those they look good. That is my problem with the Parnellis. No close retailers. And I do not like to mail order either. And as I've said before, We are a Goodyear dealer(Ford Dealer) so I have better access to Goodyears, And I get a pretty good discount anyway. Cost, since I'm in charge of tires at the dealer

Thanks man

Well really the acceleration sucks. I am going to be getting new gears as soon as my warranty goes out at 3 years or 36,000 miles.

The total cost where:

Lift (Installed): $399
Tires: $155/ea
Rims: $120/ea
Torsion Bars Cranked (also alignment): $135
Lug Nuts: $35

That's about what everything costed. It took about two weeks to get everything together and one huge head ache, but it was well worth it! Good luck with yours.

Talking Mucho Questions!!!!

1)-2dollar streak- When you torqued your torsion bars, how badly did it affect the ride?
2) Does any one have any experience with Edelbrock IAS Shocks?? Are they worth the cost($70 ea.)
3) does anyone make a cover or somthing to fill the gap between the bed and the frame after a body lift is installed?
4) How the heck do you guys post pics of your trucks ??

and a little FYI , I had a great experience with 4wheel parts wholesalers mailorder. I had 38x15.5x16.5R mounted on 16.5x12 weld scorpions from them on my old F-150 after about 22,000 miles i had a bubble develop and my sidewall blow out on one of the tires. I e-mailed them a pic to them. the next day they had me send it to them at their cost and within a week and a half i had a new tire back on my baby.

thanks for all the help on my questions!!!!!
