just installed upper control arm and have a ?

I just installed new moog upper control arms, and outer tie rod ends, and struts. After I got everything back together I put the greese zerks in and one of the upper control arms was missing the zerk and cotter pin. I checked the thred of the other greese zerk and it was a 1/4X28 so I bought a pack of zerks and guess what it dosen't thred in to the ball joint. I can't tell if there are any threads there or not. Would my best bet is get a bottom tap and rethread. I have a thres thread but that won't work it bottoms out. I would go in and complain about this but I don' want to take it all apart because of one zerk. Anyone ever have this, and what did you do to fix it?

I did all the work myself so I would have to take the front end apart to take it back. Don't want to have to do that.

Just tap some threads and remember this lesson next time. That's what I would do. It doesnt need many to stay in and hold grease.

I don't beleive the BJ's are threaded for the Zerks. There is a hole in the BJ and the zerk threads itself in, self tapper style. I just replaced my UCA's and lower BJ's, all with Moogs and that is how they were. Either way, you got it done.

That's how I remember it as well...no tapping req'd. Forget the the advice to remove the UCA for the zerk, that's just silly. Pop a larger threaded zerk on there, fill it with grease and don't worry about it for a long time.
