question about cv joint..

i noticed the other day when i was under my truck that there is a rip in my drivers side outer cv boot. I am not sure if the joint it bad yet, but i am assuming it might be by the grease that was all over. does anyone know what i need to order to fix this or what i need to do? thank you

I have seen replacement cv boots that you can install without removing the half shafts. Otherwise you will have to remove the axle shaft from the knuckle to get a factory style boot on it.
