Upper Ball Joints

My factory Uppers are starting to get a little play to em and i was wondering if you guys had any ideas for some good aftermarket upper A-Arms, and im not talking like moog or Raybestos i mean like Doestch or something along that lines where its not a 100% factory design

There is really only one issue with the factory design....grease fittings! Moogs replacements have these...they are excellent quality and last.

Camburg and Total Chaos makes UCA's with Uniballs in them vs. a standard ball joint.

The doestch/springtech/canuck motorsports ones are nice and there all the same so you can find the springtech ones of ebay for a pretty good price, and they have replaceable bsll joints instead of having to replace the control arm every time. As far as I know camburg and total chaos only make control arms for the 04+ trucks, but camburg does make a lift for the 97-03 with a uniball but you have to run there spindles with it too, and its not cheap. Your looking at about 2k going camburg and about 200 roughly for the springtech ones but the ball joints are replaceable with 99 chevy 2wd half-tons if I remember right.

I thought so too, until I had to change out the new Moogs in less than 2 years. Boots shredded. Seemed to be made of plastic, not rubber.

Good call about the Camburg and TC UCA's. I didn't see he had an 02. It might be worth a call though. The guys at Camburg are very nice and know their trucks so maybe you could con them into building a set.

You got my vote on doestch UCA's! That is as long as you are 2wd. If you are 4wd I don't think there are any aftermarket options for you without going long travel.
