Fabtech and level

I know people are running them and ive been reading about it. The question I have is when I got the lift put on the place told me running a level makes it hard to allign and is horrible for it... Is it really that bad for the suspension id like to know cause if its not its going on.

Well any extra amount of lift or a larger tire size is gonna cause extra suspension wear, but not anything extremely terrible. You shouldn't have any problems with alignment as long as you don't go over a 2" level. Is your fabtech the kit with coilovers or a strut spacer?

huh?

If your lift kit has the factory shocks but with the big 6" spacer on top. I would suggest ditching the spacer and getting the 6" fabtech coilover's and cranking them to the 2" setting.

fabtech doesn't use a spacer like pro comp to get the 6" of lift. they replace it with a longer strut, but still set up like the factory. so yes you can use a 2" spacer, you should be fine. you can do a 2.5" if you want, either way your angles will be fine. alignment won't be any harder, i've never heard anyone having issues.

a few years back fabtech had their "blemished" coil overs for like $575 for both, only difference between the ones you will pick up at 4wp or other offroad shop is maybe a scratch or something minor.

I remember reading here that Fabtech has changed their kit and it now comes with a spacer rather than a longer coilover shock.

Fabtech now uses two different kits. One with a 6" strut spacer then the other is the old style with the 6" coilover.
