What 6 inch lift is best???? Advice Please
Best bet would be to get a basic lift and get some Kings, Fox's or Sway-a-aways for shocks. Another option is I believe Bilstein makes a 4-6" strut that works as well and would be cheaper than full blown coil overs.
I'm Researching for a 6" right now, and from what I've gathered so far:
Skyjacker: Great deal, my turn off is how the spindles slim as the get to the connection at uca, no unistrut bars (ladder bar looking things up front)
Pro comp: (what i'm mostly likely getting) Comes with unistrut bars, decently packged, and hideous crossmember. It can be remedied by welding another piece of steel to it to give it "shape" or just put the skid plate on
Fabtech and BDS: Very nice kits, but I am not wheeling my truck hard enough to pay $2500 for just that kit. Can be slimmed to a $2k deal shopping around for it though, it just depends on the the cash at hand right at that moment
Rize: Seen it but the customer service is a turn off as well...(so is price
)
Rough Country, RCD: have yet to look up
I'm assuming all this with basic knowledge of install, I'm not too pleased with the shops we have around here that I've experienced, theres one offroad shop I have yet to try but anything car mods here in south florida is through the roof
And I second what Fx4 for life mentioned, buy the kit of your choice and buy coilovers of your choice as well

BDS can be had cheaper than $2500 for the kit, I paid $2100 installed when I had mine. It was a great kit, but i can't knock any of the other lifts (except 1) as i haven't used them personally.
I stay the hell away from rough country. Their superduty lifts literally fall apart from on road driving. There were a few threads on powerstroke.org over the subject. If their quality is that bad on any model lift, it makes me want to stay away from all their products.

Not only super duty, I saw a silverado 2500 riding around town where the unistrut bracket fell off...the bar was just dangling
06, I guess I'll be going to houston for my lift shopping

that's where i'm at
i'll be ordering my lift in a month or two, putting it on myself. like you idk what to get. was going for rough country but... now i'll forget that idea
i can't stand how the procomp crossmember goes straight across

Dylan, give cutten customs a call on a bds lift. I know they cut a better deal when you have them install it but it's at least worth a call. Your close enough where it wouldn't be a hassle to pick it up

Do you plant to off road your truck a lot? If so, with a 6" lift you can fit up to 35" tires but will rub on the wheel wells. 33" would be a good size for a 6" but doesn't give you "any" ground clearance which is essential in order not to bottom out.

For moderate (read normal, rational trail riding, typical hunter / fisherman type off roading) a 2.5" level with 35s is good, a 6" lift with 35s and your tires are guaranteed to never rub. If you are mashing 35s into the body with a 6" lift, your suspension is moving in ways it was never designed to move...
He has fully built D60's so no need to....
Or you are actually using your suspension....I had mine under full articulation rubbing in the rear. Just means I needed to put longer bump stops in the rear to prevent the rubbing.

Or go old school on it and cut the fenders...
