6" bds lift with wheel spacers

i recently bought a used 6 inch bds lift kit for my 1997 f150 4x4 with the 4.6. I am just starting to round up some bolts and stabilizer links, then i will be ready to install it. I was wondering if i could get away with running the stock wheels if i purchased a set of wheel spacers. If anyone knows if i can do this please let me know, and if so, how thick do the spacers have to be, thanks for the help, kyle.
