Removing Rear Blocks

So today when I got home from work I decided to remove my rear blocks. I took one out, and slowly lowered the leaf pack only to realize the bolts on the leaf pack did not line up with the holes on the axle. Is this normal? I looked on the block I removed and the holes lined up perfectly with the bolts on the spring pack.

Should I just remove the other block also and it will work? Right now it seems like the holes and bolts wont line up unless the drivers side of the rear axle is moved about 1/8" towards the bumper.

un bolt your shock on the side it's not lining up and you should be able to pull the axle in place, then bolt the shock back up, that's what i had to do when i put my 3" blocks in

Basically you are making your truck a 4x2 ride height. You should unbolt all including the shocks. Then you will need to get new shocks with the correct length for a 4x2 as well as new u-bolts unless you like the studs hanging down 50mm
You will also need to consider adding a driveline wedge to get the axle pinion angle lined up to avoid driveline issues. Although, depending on your wheel base, the 1 peoce drive shaft may be OK.
You may be pretty tail low driving around. Are you going to try to lower the front too?

I would have taken the shock off first. For one its easier to not have to work around it and it's also keeping you from moving the axle around to line up the holes. Only do one side at a time, otherwise the axle will be moving freely on you and make it a PITA.
