Fresh shocks and new rear sway bar for 2004
Hello All,
So I have almost settled in purchasing a rear sway bar (hellwig #7663) for my 04 super-cab Lariat 2 wheel drive stock suspension.
I'm also considering new shocks even though the truck has less than 40K miles. What I'm looking for is a little more stability around corners and emergency maneuvering. I also tow a 4800 pound wet travel trailer with a weight distribution/sway hitch, some questions…
• Is it OK to install a rear sway bar and still tow?
• Any recommendations on replacement shocks? Will shocks be worth the upgrade from stock? Will ride quality improve, or worsen?
Thanks…

As far as a rear sway bar and towing, I can't see it hurting things at all. Cornering will be better, at least it is with a car.
I towed my 7000lbs toyhauler for 2 years with the rear sway bar.
Doesn't change much while towing, but if you like to have some fun in twisties or highway exit.....that's when the fun begin
