DIY Ball Joints

Hi I ordered my upper ball joints with control arm. I plan on doing it myself with a couple buddys to help. I have ill the tool I need. Im just wondering if anyone has done this on there truck before and tips to get it done easier. Any help much appreciated.

I would tell if you do the uppers i would do the lowers while im in there. For the lowers they come out and go in easy with the ball joint tools kit, that you can rent. I dont believe they sell the lowers w ball joints in them already. But i would check to make things easier. However the ones you are installing arw very simple ..i would get realligned after you gwt done. Good luck

I had them check my all my ball joints when i got my tires put on he said just the uppers. But im sure the lowers arent far behind. I know my left side lower is new because i got into an accident and the person who hit me hit my wheel and they replaced my lower control arm. I already planned on the alignment. Hopefully this project will go smooth. If I remeber I'll take pictures and do a write up on it.

Don't stop at just all ball joints - replace everything - you won't regret it.

I also am replacing the left tie rod end. I was planning on doing lowers both outers and sway bar links but parts get expensive.
