I would say its a half inch differance, although i know different manufactures have different results on the amount of actual lift..

Stay away from any 3 inch leveling kit. A lot of members have found out the hard way that 3 inches is too tall. It leaves the ball joints at too severe of an angle to last, and they are a high wear item to begin with on the 04-10's.

I have a 2002 2wd XLT, can I add a leveling kit to give the front a boost? Or are the kits for 4x4 only.

Note: I am adding an addition leaf spring to the rear to give me some extra towing capacity, so my rear will be lifted a few inches. Want to look even.

Yes, you can. Same advice holds true. Do not go taller than 2.5 inches.

Most of the posters around here use Autospring(me) or Hell Bent Steel. Both are good and run about $75- $85.
