Torsion Bars/Lift Questions

Hy Guys I have a 2003 F150 4x4 Sport, and I plan on lifting my truck a little by cranking the stock keys on the torsion bars. Ive heard you can get 1-2 inches by doing this? I would like to raise the back of the truck as well, should I use a 2inch block, or would that be too much? I would like the truck to be pretty much level. Also are there any tricks to cranking the torsion bars, and what size tire should I be able to run, I currently have 265/75R17's on it now. Any help would be much appreciated.
Also if anyone has there truck lifted this way or somewhat similar please leave pics.
Thanks!

It depends on the truck, but most people can get about 2 inches of lift. Just jack up the front end and turn each adjustment bolt an equal number of turns. Once you adjust the front, you can decide how much you want to lift the rear.
As for tires, that depends on the wheel you use. You can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50) if you use your OEM wheels but they will probably rub the frame slightly at full steering lock. If you use a wider aftermarket wheel, stick with a 33 inch tire.
