Hi Everyone,
I know there are multiple threads about this topic and I have done my share of browsing but still need a couple quick questions answered.
1) I know that the Daystar and Protech kits require a spring compressor but the AS does not. Why? Which one is better? I am pretty set on the AS but thought I would just ask.
2) I have a 4.6L V8 2wd Screw and want the truck pretty close to level without having to touch the rear. I have seen a lot of 4x4 trucks with 2.5" and the nose sits really high but I have also seen where the 2" still has a lot of rake. I have not seen many 2wd trucks with a level and was wondering if I should do 2" or 2.5"
I plan on running 33's with the stock rims for a while until I get cash for the rims. Would love 35's but don't want to trim anything. Thanks in advance for the info... and I love this this site bc it has helped me numerous other times!

Just go with the AS setup I put the 2.5" on my 05 SCREW 4x4 perfectly level. The AS spacer actually bolts on top of your old strut and has three new studs on top of the spacer for mounting ti back to the truck, Very easy to install there is a write up on the forums took me 2.5 hours by myself with a jack in my driveway. I beleive the other kits go inside your strut assembly instead of on top.

Thanks Dave! I am 95% sure I will be going with the AS 2.5". I just wasn't sure if there was a huge difference between the 4x4 and 2wd rear ends in regards to the height. I will be purchasing it within the next couple days and will have to post pics after its done.
Just installed my AS 2.5" this evening, using the write-up thread located https://www.f150online.com/forums/su...t-install.html here; took me right at 2 hours, as a virgin on suspension work. when I pulled the jack after the job the center of the wheel hub to the bottom edge of the fender flare measured right at 25" (didn't take a measurement before, though). Back wheels were within a half inch of that.
