Suggestions plz

Wasn't sure which section to post this in.....

Ok truck is Getting there but just doesnt have that "sweetness" to it yet.

When you look at it.....the first thing that you would change/add is????

Custom bumper? Tinted windows? Paint job? New wheels? I cant put my finger on it. It just seems to be missing something.

Personally I think custom front and rear bumpers with some aftermarket lights would do the trick? Any suggestions on brand names?

PS- paint job is major flawed. lots of knicks and tree scraps from trail riding. Looks good from a distance but....well you get the picture.

bumpers sound good and change the headlights or at least clear corners.

an alternative to paint is vinyl wrap so you can put some designs into it and change your style in the future.

Truck looks badass..I would clean up the frame/underbody rust, wax the truck and do 25% tint and I think you would be alot happier

You truck looks good to me. Personally, I'm not a fan of those wheels or the steps. I'd replace them first. As for bumpers, if you want an aftermarket unit, I love the Trailready style bumpers.

paint the frame and give it a good wax. Try the mothers clay bar. other then that truck looks good.

Thx for the input!

To the guy that asked about the edge. I like it for its diagnostics. I can't say that I really noticed a big difference between stock and level 1, 2 or 3.

I ran 0-60 and 1/4 miles times in stock and then in lvl 3 and their was no difference so I don't really think I got anything out of it. (I have another thread going about this from about a year ago)

For everyone else: Two follow up questions come to mind......

1) who has the best price on aftermarket lights?
2) Whats the secret to painting the frame? Do I need to sodablast it first or is a general powerwash ok? What paint is best?

I was going to do just the rear axle and throw on a new diff cover but after looking at my pictures again I can see the frame is really ugly.

It's a nice truck as is. I love the look of a black truck with the grey lower section and red pinstripe.

Changes I'ld make?

It would really catch my eye if ...
1) ... it were to suddenly loose all those window stickers
2) ... the frame was painted
3) ... the height was dropped to stock
4) ... some brighter wheels with some closer to stock tires were added which did not extend way out past the bolted on flares
5) ... some chromed stainless steel side rails were added with steps

Then you could think about repaint or healing the black, but keep the grey and red. You'ld have a truck that stops better, goes better, handles better, is easier to get in and out of, is cheaper to drive (easier on parts and gas) and still have what it is that makes it a nice truck as is without the parts that detract from it's appearance / utility / value.

It'ld really be a "sharp truck" then .... IMHO.

Take care ........

LOL- well thanks for the advice but do you know how much it cost me to get that sucker looking tall! Those new tires alone (only about three weeks old) set me back $1,500- I'm thinking new lights and a painted frame will be next on the to do list based on the feedback here. Custom bumpers are just too much $$$ for me right now..

PS- I took the advice to wax "her" what a difference something so simple can make.
With 3" PA BL and new 37x13.50 M-16's
(Do a search on Youtube for "fordruza Black 1" to see truck without BL and old 35's or "lifted f150" to see this one in full screen)

Here is how she looked bone stock- BEFORE I even bought her.
My son in the drivers seat at the dealership and backed up to my boat to see how it would look going down the highway!

It's a pretty cool rig right now, good job.

If it was me, I'd do the lightning heads and corner lights, got mine at latemodelrestoration.com for about $150 N-Fab Steps, paint the frame, and rear-end,etc., and a Mag Hytec Diff Cover is pretty sharp, too. Shows off nice with a big truck.

Hate to knock your efforts, but I ain't feeling the wheels either, sorry.
And I'd lose all the stickers...

What brand of fender flares are those?Bushwacker? I thought they only offered cut-out style for the 97-03's?
