Rize question?

I thought I had read on here or maybe somewhere else that the 8" rize actually gives you more like 9-9 1/2"s of lift. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks!

It's because of the unique front coilover spacers Rize makes.. Compare a 6" lifts front suspension angles with the front angles of a Rize 8" and you will see. Most lifts keep the front suspension geometry fairly horizontal (best way I can think to describe it, I could just say stock..) the Rize kit has a bit more angle to the front geometry. At one time several members that used to be around here (thumpermx113 and budd87) tried to take the Rize coilover spacers and put them on an 8" kit that runs true to size, the CTS kit, and the Rize spacers where so big they couldn't get them to even install on the CTS 8"...

You gonna gripe about a lift that from the start already gives you extra lift?

If I remember right the eye to eye on the drop bracket measures out to something like 8.5 or 8.75 plus what FX4life said.

I'm not gripping by anymeans I'm just looking for a little info just like everyone else on this forum. I had recently come across a used 8" rize kit and was wondering how much lift I would actually be getting. On a side note I was thinking about replacing the extensions for coilovers but not sure on what size I would need. Thanks

^ put lift on first and then call whoever is gonna build your coilovers and they will ask for certain measurements. Best way i can think of or if some of those companys have kept previous measurements of f150s with the 8inch rize that wanted coilovers

King, Fox, and Sway-a-way all should have this info on file.. Better yet just call down south motorsports and let them handle it; Sonny is top notch over at DSM and can get you any of those
