Rattling Sound/Worn Tire

2007 F150 SCrew 5.4
I noticed a rattling sound coming from under the truck the other day while driving with the window down. It sounds like BB's in a tin can when I go over a bump and I believe the sound is coming from the front left (driver side) wheel area. I suspect the suspension is culprit. I don't see any blown out bushings and nothing loose around the shock. I have read that the lower ball joints typically go first in these vehicles. I recently had the front end aligned as the drivers side front tire was wearing on the inside. I am wondering if I have a bad shock....
Now everyone put on your telepathic caps and let me know what you think.

Let me ask this... do you run over curbs and do any off roading or have very rough roads in your area?

I do not do any off roading and my driving is all on paved roads. We did have a curb incident where I had to move out of harms way but the traversal of the curb certainly wasn't anything "hard" or jarring.
