Your bed weight difference is minimal. a 2/4 drop with drop shackles will set you low man. I used to have a slightly lifted 2WD and theres nothing like being lowered.

I lied, remembered this thread. It'll help with your lowering decision making.

There isn't anything wrong with a flip kit my truck has been lowered since I bought the truck new in November 2004 and 90,000 miles later no issues.

Some people have had issues with their flip, some haven't. I chose a leaf drop based on my research.

no offense to people who like them lowered but it hardly even makes sence. Trucks are better then other cars because of all their capabilities, one of which is clearance. Why take that away?

LIFT IT UP !!!

It's OK that you don't understand. My lowered truck is far easier to load and unload than any lifted truck. A true workhorse!

I do believe it should be easier to load and unload. But one family I know even their company f250s are lifted. Also my friends brother used a lifted 250 as a work truck, had some problems with the 6.0 so sold it and got a mustang and a small truck for work. Now he is looking to get another lifted f250 for work since hes sick of the low truck.

My lowered truck runs through my pasture and hauls the cows.

BDS emailed me back and they say it does fit the regular cab so if lifted is the way you want to go than it should be fine

Which did you decide original poster?

I am also thinkin of doing 2/4 drop with my 07 2wd. Just figure what it is your looking for when you look at your truck.

Funny thing is, the guy stating a honda civic make it further but thats just smart elic and ridiculous, just stupid. Haha. Take a 2wd truck, give it better ground clearence, good tread tires (at or mt) and also a limited slip/locker.. you can have a tons of fun offroad and trail riding, but just be aware of your limits when coming to mud holes. Thats it. The lifted 2wd debate is just stupid. Just yesterday I seen a fx2, unmarked blacked out with 40s on it, with a 12 inch bulletproof brand suspension lift, no one around me knew or recognized it as a 2wd. Haha everyone was like ahh man awsome truck thats badass then I said you see its a 2wd right? Then it was ahh man thats stupid, retarded blah blah blah... haha its just a look. Its what you want it to look like. IFS lifted 4x4s aren't superior they can get stuck just as well..boo whoo.. and they can also be lifted and never driven off road. Its just a look.
