Blocks or AAL???

I'm kinda getting tired of my truck sitting level. I don't kno that much about AAL's, is there any brands to avoid or what? My truck only has like 3 leafs so i guess that would add more strengh in the back? If i went with blocks, how big a block. i don't want the rear of the truck to be ridiculously jacked up but i wanna get the rake back i guess. How tall of block or AAL should i go with? pics?

Well AAL will make the truck ride rougher, it doesnt bother me but might some ppl. Blocks are cheaper i think, espicially if you dont have any blocks then you can just pull them off of a stock f150.

But i would say AAL if your towing alot
Pros and Cons to both, just depends on what u need

Well i was gonna stack another 2" block. I didn't kno the aal's make your ride rougher, but i guess it beefs up the rear a little. Is there any brands for aal's not to go with. i haven't looked at them yet.

I just stacked a 1" block on top of the factory block, which i got the block from fatbobsgarage. After putting a 2" AS leveling kit in my '09 4x4, the front was 3/8" high, now the rear is 5/8" high - perfect.

i honestly couldnt tell a difference in ride. it might be the same for you seeing as how we both have long beds with only 3 factory leafs.

Your prolly right. Does your truck get weighed down in the back as easily now?

I decided to go with a set of the Hellwig Load Pro helper springs. They are easy to mount and adjustable. The leaf pack does not have to be disassembled. They should be here in a day or two, and I will post pictures of the install. Here is a link to the install instructions:

Not bad at all, but then again I do have them paired with Bilstein HD shocks so it is stiff. Gained 2" easy
