sas info

Need a kit for my 03, farmboy fab seems to not have a website anymore...anyone have more info on that or any other kits and what works.

Was thinking D60 king pin front for keeping it simple...and 10.25 sterling rear.

With the D60 and 10.25 will the year of the axle matter?

wanna run 40's to 44's

Once trimble chimes in here im sure your questions will be answered. But 1ton's re built can withstand 44s with a 5.38 gear ratio. Years of the axle im clueless on that lol

farmboy fabrications kit is the easiest way of doing it, I haven't talked to jesse lately, I know he was in the middle of moving shops. Ill try and get sine contact info for you. Ill send it to you though pm.

Look for a 91 or older king pin d60!

Thats too much for stock axles imo. I got my axles with upgrade knuckles, hi-steer and 5.13 gears for the same price.

Can the older MY axles i.e 91 and older-can those be adapted to the newer MY disc brakes for the rear axle? or do those already come set up for discs? My old work truck was a 94 F450 dually and it had rear discs.

My rear has brum brakes so for me to go to disc brakes is have to upgrade a few other brake components. If the truck already has disc brakes then its should only be a matter of line fitting and thread pitch. Since your truck already has disc brakes it really wouldnt be anything to put the 94 in as far as brakes go. If you have rear anti lock brakes the 94 wont be able to accommodate that.

I dont even know that. I am waiting to hear back from my web guy. I just got my email back going either today or a couple of days ago, and that was a completely random outage that eventually just came back.

Ideally, 78-79 D60 front and the 93-97 Sterling 10.25". Good combo.

What about the years around 1988 for the D60 how are those?

Also could I use my 9.75 axle with some upgrades?

Here's some good info on dana60's.

As for the rear what's the after market like for the sterlings compared to dana or gm rears? The more competition in the after market the better

I would make my own kit.

Newer axles are pretty much the way to go(abs)

But I opted for old school so the wheel pattern would be more versitile, not metric 8lug

newer axles have unit bearing hubs that would definitely NOT last long with 40-44's. And ABS never works properly with tires of that size anyway.
