4" Rough Country - Backspacing?

4" Rough Country - Backspacing?

I am contemplating a 4" Rough Country Lift. Below is a list of specs for the lift. My question is specific to the wheel requirements. What does that mean? 4.5"-5"? Is that backspacing? My current wheels are 6.5" Do I need new wheels?

Manufacturer: Rough Country
Amt of Lift: 4"
Front Suspension: Replacement Knuckles / Spacers
Rear Suspension: Blocks

The 4.5-5" is referring to backspacing. If you use your current wheels, you will probably have rubbing issues.

Where will the rubbing occur? Tires to fender? Tires to knuckles?

The rubbing will probably occur on the a-arms. You would want less backspacing to make the tire stick out from the a-arms. Hopefully someone else will chime in to confirm.

I believe he is correct. There may also be rubbing on the knuckles.

are you running stock wheels? the stocks have a round 5in backspacing and my 35 wouldnt even fit it was hitting the knuckle so hard.. but this is with a 6in
