Personally for the cash just live with the small tires on the 6" or trade them in on some 35's or craigslsit them

and screwdude

1. I want to run my stock wheels and tires in the winter months.

*Ranchos about it superlift was close if i remember right.

2. My current aftermarket wheels. Will they rub or wont they.

*look at the kits install instructions www.ntwonline has them isted with each kit this will help you decide and will tell you if stock rims fit but spacers would be needed in most cases.

3. Tire size.. current set up is 305/55/20 are they going to look like Bicycle tires with a 6inch lift? If so then maybe the 4inch lift will look ok.

*True

4.Looking at my wheels/tires they dont stick out that much from the truck. Is this going to look goofy on a lifted truck?

*that changes with the lift knuckle mine stick out more now.

5. Rake of the lift, some lifts look like they have a lot of rake to them. Im kinda wanting as close to level maybe within a 1/2 for towing purposes.

*many kits are pretty close to level i added a add a leaf for more rake which gets me 1.5 and when towing it is 1/2 higher in the rear (towing car trailer)

6. I dont want to have to end up regearing. At what point does this happen?

*35" tires and larger gearing is recommended

7. When does getting beefer brakes come into play?

*over 35" tires and 20" rims both can add rolling mass and slotted rotors or caliper upgradeds are helpful but not required

9. What the best 'Riding' lift kit, I dont want to feel like im driving a semi truck
and do you go with a block and add a leaf or just the leaf spring for the rear.

*anytime adding coilovers (1000-1500) will help with ride. the spacer lift kits in 4 and 6" use stock coilovers and ride good. but the tires will be the end result. a 10 ply 35" tires is going to kill the ride. with its stiff sidewall and high psi rating.

10. I was looking at just getting a 4inch lift, thought it would suit me just fine..until....I saw a used truck at a dealership with a 6inch lift. Now Im back on the 4 or 6 lift debate on top of all these other issues.

*its only 100-200 bucks diffrence.

11. 4 inch would definitely be easier to get in and out of the truck and stuff out of the bed then the 6. But since im already running a 2 inch spacer up front. Another 2 inch lift in front hardly seems worth it.

*running boards make it simple to get in and effortless

12. Whats the best kit to get for someone that will not be offroading all that much but still have a decent kit that will hold up in case one does go offroad.

*all the kits are close cookie cutter copies of one another.

Does anyone have an answer to my question? Which is I already have Bilstein 5100's and a 2.5" leveling kit. Can I buy the 6" kit and instead of using the 6" spacer use my 5100's and 2.5" spacer to get ~4.5" lift or maybe even a 3" to get ~5" lift? I think it would work just fine and then it would give me that option if I wanted to go higher or just keep it at that height. To me it seems like a simple solution to all those debating a 4" or 6". What do you guys think?
