Rancho rs9000xl shocks

Hey guys, I've got a quick question. Down the road, I want to eventually install the rancho 4" kit. With this kit, you have to buy the shocks separately and I was wondering if I could go ahead and put on the shocks and put the lift on later or if they would be two different sizes. Thanks!

Two different shocks all together...lifted and stock shocks (as a general rule) are not interchangeable. On your truck they are not, so you will need the new shocks when you do the lift.

The 9000 XL's are pretty awesome BTW. Everyone rants and raves about the Bilsteins, but these are just as awesome performers and I personally love the adjustability.

Agreed. The shocks for the 4" lift are longer than the stock RS9000s.

I also think they are a very good shock, i'm very pleased with my my truck rides after the Rancho 4" lift.
