coil spacers/spring boosters?

coil spacers/spring boosters?

im trying to lift my truck by using 3 inch blocks on the rear liefs and possibly spring boosters/coil spacers on the front. anyone done this? anyone have any opinion on this? my cousin tells me theres something like blocks that you can slide into the coils? im confused lol so any info on this would be much appreciated. thanks in advance

The coilspring spacers that wedge in between your coils are junk and will destroy your coilsprings. Get a set of Daystar spacers that will sit on top or underneath the coils.

ah yeah i heard they were bad for your coils. daystar? alright, ill check it out. thanks

Depends on your skill livel. Removing coilspring can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

hmm great. well my cousin is doing it for me...hes done a lift on his f150 but he has leafs all around...
what exactly goes into getting these spacers on?

Basically, you remove the coilsprings and reinstall them with the spacer. I think the biggest thing is seperating the ball joint from the spindle without the coil popping out. I believe you can place a floor jack under the lower control arm and slowly lower it to release the tension on the spring.
